There are rules for safely riding a mechanical bull.

There are a few requirements for a safe bull ride which our operator will verbalize to the riders. For starters, we do require that the rider remove their shoes and empty their pockets of anything sharp that could injure them or damage the inflatable pad when they fall off the bull. A rider must be able to mount the bull on their own in order to ride the bull. Once they are seated atop the bull, they will be instructed to grab the handle with one hand and place the other hand in the air. It is recommended that you grab the handle with your dominant while placing your non-dominant hand in the air. The hand is to remain in the air for the duration of the ride. In order to increase your chances of a longer bull ride, you can squeeze your thighs against the sides of the bull and move your body as fluid as possible with the movements of the bull. These are all some of the things a rider can do to ensure a safer and longer bull ride.
